High School Parent-Teacher Conferences Information

Phillipsburg High School Parent-Teacher Conferences
Parent-teacher conferences will be held in the Auxiliary Gym at Phillipsburg High School. All high school teachers will be located at a table in the gym. Our schedule is as follows:
First Session: Monday evening, October 22nd, 5:30-8:00 p.m.
Second Session: Tuesday evening, October 23rd, 5:30-8:00 p.m.
School will not be in session Friday, October 26, 2018
It is our suggestion that families with the last names of A-J attend on Monday evening and last names of K-Z attend Tuesday evening in order to avoid overcrowding. Please try to limit your conference time to 10 minutes with each teacher. We plan to have report cards available in the office for parents and students 18 and over to pick up either session.
We have several teachers that report to two buildings. The “traveling teacher” schedule is given below:

The high school does not schedule times for appointments during conferences. If you wish to schedule a special time to confer with a teacher outside of parent-teacher conference time, please contact the office at 543-5251.
Seniors will have their Career Planning Conferences during this time. Your student will be talking to you about scheduling. Senior parents and students will meet with Mr. Buresh at a scheduled time. Freshmen, Sophomore and Juniors will have Career Planning Conferences in the Spring.
A Principal's pass allows a student to leave school grounds for lunch on a day of their choosing. The principal's pass will be good until December 20,2018.
Students can earn a principal's pass during Parent-Teacher conferences if the following occurs:
1. The parent and student must attend the Parent-Teacher conferences together.\
2. The parent and student must visit with all your teachers. The teacher will validate the visit by initialing the student's report card.
3. The report card must be brought to the counselor's table. If you have visited all your teachers, you are eligible for a principal's pass.
4. Parents have the final say. If you choose to allow your child to have a principal's pass, you must sign the pass along with the principal.
Students cannot use the pass on days that they are not in good standing for discipline problems.
Students must turn the pass in Pam before 7:55 a.m. the day that they intend to eat lunch off school grounds.
