What’s a demo derby, you ask? It’s when a bunch of cars drive around an arena, crashing into each other. The driver who still has his or her “stick” up at the end wins the derby. 8th grader Chase Grismore knows a lot about it. “It has been in my blood since I could walk.” Last Saturday he got to drive in his second derby in Kirwin. His steering broke, but he and his brother Trey still beat their Dad to tie for first in the “Grismore Challenge.” His favorite part of derbying is the gas pedal. Shut it down!
