Students who participated in the challenge sponsored by Phillips County Economic Development had to come up with a business plan and submit it ahead of time, create a tradeshow display, and give a 4- minute pitch to the judges on Tuesday, March 19. That’s a lot! This year Gabby Poels (Chargelet) won 1st place and $750, James Poels (Tick Tock Clock Shop) earned 2nd place and $500, Julia Walker and Lydia Walker (The Dog Walkers) won 3rd place and $300 plus $150 for creating the best tradeshow display, Aubrey Post (Purebred Hampshire Show Pigs) won 4th place and $250 plus $150 for best 4-minute pitch, and Blake Rothe, Cordell Dusin, and Reid Pfortmiller (The Animal Watchers) won 5th place and $200 plus $150 for best marketing award. Way to see it through, kids!
