On Tuesday morning, the PHS FCCLA invited the 7th and 8th graders to attend a Suicide Prevention Assembly at Huck Boyd. Kirk Smalley’s son, Ty, committed suicide when he was 11 years old. So, he’s teamed up with “Stand for the Silent” and has made it his mission to travel around and talk to students about bullying. He wants to help kids understand that they are ones who can help. He wasn’t asking us to be perfect but to apologize when needed. “You can’t do everything, but you can do something.”
